Waking early you will be taken to the pier in Manaus around 9am where you will embark the boat that you will be spending the next three nights on in the heart of the Amazon. Once on board you will receive an introductory briefing about the next few days and a background on some of the flora, fauna and wildlife you will witness.
Cruise down the waterways of the Amazon River before stopping to take your first excursion. Board a canoe and paddle across Lago January, a rich ecosystem which is abundant in foliage and nutrients and making the area the perfect home for various birds and other wildlife. You will witness the pink river dolphin, heron, macaw, parrots, jacamars and many other reptile and exotic plants.
Once you are back on board you can enjoy lunch while sailing to the famous Meeting of the Waters, where the black Rio Negro meets the clear waters of the Solimoes. The contrasting water can be seen for almost 9 miles and is spectacular to witness. You also have the chance to spot the gigantic pirarucu, the largest scaled fish in the world before having dinner and falling asleep to the sound of the jungle around you.
